About Krista
Krista is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and mother of 2 who blends clinical expertise with a lifelong passion for movement and performance. She earned her DPT from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology and Health at Iowa State University.
Her advanced training includes pelvic floor rehabilitation through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through the Institute of Manipulative Physiotherapy & Clinical Training and has completed a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coaching certification. Krista specializes in helping individuals build strength, return to activity confidently, and navigate pregnancy and postpartum fitness with evidence-based support.
Movement has been central to Krista’s life from an early age. She competed in Tae Kwon Do from ages 8 through 23, including at the collegiate level where she was a medalist at collegiate nationals. She also coached and assisted Tae Kwon Do classes from ages 16 to 21, developing a strong foundation in coaching, leadership, and athlete development. Starting in 2023, she expanded her coaching career by working as a fitness instructor, bringing together her clinical background and love of training.
Krista believes movement is more than exercise — it is a powerful way to maintain health, reduce stress, have fun, and build meaningful community. Her approach combines rehabilitation, performance training, and supportive coaching to help people feel strong, capable, and connected in their bodies.
